PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Principal's Voice

The noted English Poet Robert Frost once made a notable remark that “Two roads diverged in a wood, and I, I took the one less travelled by, and that has made all the difference”.

As the Principal of Mother Teresa College of Teacher Education, it is my esteemed privilege to extend a warm welcome to all students, faculty, staff, Parents and visitors to the institution. Nestled in the picturesque town of Perambra in Kozhikode District, Kerala, India. Our college stands as a beacon of academic excellence and social responsibility in the field of Teacher Education for the past 17 Years. Named after the revered humanitarian and Nobel laureate, Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta, we uphold her values of compassion, service, and dedication to the betterment of society through Teacher Education. At Mother Teresa College of Teacher Education, we are committed to nurturing not just professional educators, but compassionate leaders who will shape the future of our nation in the decades to come. The legacy of Saint Chavara Kuriakos Elias of Mannanam, the noted renaissance leader of Kerala and Founder of the Catholic order of the Carmelite of Mary Immaculate (C.M.I.), propels our spirit of service and commitment to the country. Our college is dedicated to providing a holistic learning experience that goes beyond the confines of traditional teacher education. We believe in fostering an environment where Student-Teachers are encouraged to explore, innovate, and grow both academically and personally. At Mother Teresa College of Teacher Education, we recognize the importance of embracing diversity and inclusivity in all aspects of our academic community. The Four Pillars of Education; Learning to: Know, Do, Be and Live Together, are imperative in all curricular and co-curricular initiatives undertaken at the college. In conclusion, Mother Teresa College of Teacher Education is more than just an institution of higher learning; it is a family dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge, the fostering compassion, and the empowerment  individuals to make a positive difference in the world.
